Brownsea island

Brownsea Island is best known as the site of the first Scout Camp set up by Lord Baden-Powell in 1907. At 500 acres, it is the largest of Poole Harbour s five islands. The rare red squirrel, a bird sanctuary and a pride of 100 peacocks call the island home.
