ODEON CINEMA
Located towards the end of Westover Road , the Odeon is a six-screen cinema situated opposite the Pavilion Theatre . Starting out as the Regent in 1929, it retains many of the art deco features of the period. In 1949, it was renamed as the Gaumont and stayed that way until 1986. In addition to screening films, it also used to be the venue for live performances by music icons such as Ella Fitzgerald and The Beatles .
ABC CINEMA
From one 2,600-seater auditorium in 1937, the ABC Cinema now has three auditoriums. One of those auditoriums boasts of the largest cinema screen in the area. It also takes pride in being the only cinema in the county capable of projecting 70mm epics.
SHERIDAN IMAX CINEMA
The awesome Sheridan IMAX Cinema gives moviegoers a unique 3D film experience. Located at the Pier Approach in Bournemouth , the cinema features a 419-tiered seating auditorium with access for disabled patrons, a giant screen measuring 19m x 25m, a 6-channel surround sound system output on over 40 speakers, plus a spacious foyer with panoramic views.
